Washington Post: How did Google help the Israeli army in its war on Gaza?
The Washington Post revealed, Wednesday, the relationship between Google and the Israeli army and the war of extermination it waged on the Gaza Strip for 470 days.
The Washington Post quoted documents as saying, “Google worked to provide the Israeli army with the latest artificial intelligence technologies at the beginning of the Gaza war”.
Google’s internal documents show that the company has been assisting the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the army since 2021, adding, “A Google employee requested that the occupation army be granted access to the Gemini artificial intelligence technology”.
The documents indicated that Israel wanted to expand its use of Google’s Vertex service, which enables the application of artificial intelligence algorithms.
Another Google employee warned that if the company didn’t provide greater access, the Israeli military would turn to Amazon.
The Washington Post noted that more than 100 employees had asked the company to review its work with the Israeli army, but they were ignored.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip over the course of fifteen consecutive months left about 46 thousand Palestinian killed, and about 12 thousand missing, most of them women and children, in addition to the destruction of hundreds of thousands of homes and shops, the burning and destruction of dozens of hospitals and medical clinics, and widespread destruction of the infrastructure.
The ceasefire in Gaza came into effect on Sunday morning, after 470 days of genocide, massive destruction of homes and infrastructure.
