The Israeli army continues operation in Jenin for the second day
The Israeli army stormed the Jenin camp in the West Bank, while Palestinian resistance targeted them with explosives and machine guns.
The Israeli forces destroyed the infrastructure surrounding Jenin Governmental Hospital and arrested 6 young men.
On Tuesday evening, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Mahmoud Ibrahim Jaradat (29) was killed by the Israeli forces in the village of Ta’nek, west of Jenin.
The number of Palestinian killed in Jenin, rose to 10, as 9, including a child, and 40 injured.
The Israeli army announced the start of a military operation in the city of Jenin in the West Bank, and called it Operation “Iron Wall”.
Israeli media reported that the operation went into effect by order of the political level, after the cabinet included the West Bank among the objectives of the ongoing war last Friday.
The Israeli army stormed, at dawn, the town of al Mazra’a al Gharbiya, north of Ramallah, and the al Ain refugee camp, west of Nablus, where it raided a house during its storming of the camp, and the village of Rojeeb, east of Nablus, and the town of Aqraba, south of the city of Nablus, where it raided several houses.
Three young men were also arrested during the raid on the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, in the southern West Bank.
Since Tuesday, the Israeli forces have continued to install iron gates at the entrances to towns and villages in the West Bank, as part of a policy of tightening the siege on all governorates, cutting them off and turning them into isolated areas, restricting the movement of citizens, and imposing collective punishment on them.
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed that the military operation in Jenin is still ongoing.
He said, “The military operation in the Jenin camp will constitute a change in the Israeli army’s perception of security in the West Bank,” adding that “the terrorist infrastructure in the refugee camp won’t return with the end of the operation”.
He added, “We’ll not allow Iran’s proxies to endanger the lives of settlers and establish an eastern front against the State of Israel”.
