Israeli media: Nasrallah died of suffocation inside the hideout he was in
Israel’s Channel 12 reported on Sunday that Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah died of suffocation inside the hideout he was in at the time of the Israeli raid on Friday.
The source indicated that Nasrallah suffered from severe pain before his death.
A video circulating on social media showed the moment the body of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah was retrieved from the site of the Israeli raid on the southern suburb of Beirut, a stronghold of Hezbollah.
As shown in the video, Nasrallah’s body was pulled out of what appeared to be a deep hole using a crane.
It took rescuers about two days to reach the body of Nasrallah, whose death in an Israeli raid was confirmed by Hezbollah in a statement.
Hezbollah’s statement didn’t say how he was killed or when his funeral would be, but the two sources said his body had no direct wounds and the cause of death appeared to be blunt force trauma from the force of the explosion.
