At least 14 people were killed and 43 others wounded on Sunday night in Israeli air strikes that targeted the central Syrian province of Hama, the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Monday.

SANA news agency quoted the director of the National Hospital in Masyaf, Faisal Haidar, as saying, “the number of martyrs from the Israeli aggression on several sites around the city of Masyaf in the Hama countryside has risen to 14 martyrs and 43 wounded, including 6 in critical condition”.

According to source from Syria, “At around 20:23 on Sunday evening, Israel launched an air strike from the direction of northwestern Lebanon, targeting a number of military sites in the Hama province”.

Syrian State media reported on Sunday evening that Syrian air defenses confronted an Israeli missile that targeted several areas in Syrian central region.

The Israeli strike targeted sites in the western Hama countryside, on the Masyaf-Wadi al Uyun road axis.

Syrian media published photos of fragments of Israeli missiles that were intercepted in the sky, as they fell in the al Majd suburb of Tartous.

The Israeli attack was massive, and the sound of explosions was heard in the cities of Hama and Salamiyah.

Social media accounts circulated a video that they said showed the moment Israeli missiles were shot down in the sky of Tartous city, which were heading to target sites in the Hama countryside.
