Where is the US Navy stationed around the world?
The US Naval Institute has published a report detailing the distribution of warships in various global regions as of June 17, 2024.
The report could clarify the approximate distribution of the 113 groups of aircraft carriers and amphibious units of the Specialized Navy.
Japan: The USS America (LHA-6) warship arrived at the port of Sasebo on Thursday, according to local ship-monitoring sources.
Philippine Sea: The USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) took part in naval exercises called “Brave Shield” in the Philippine Sea.
The Mediterranean Sea: A group of warships were sent:
- MV Roy P. Benavidez
- USNS 1st lt. Baldomero Lopez (T-AK-3010)
- USNS GySgt. Fred. W. Stockham (T-AK-3008)
- USAV General Frank S. Benson (LSV-1)
- USAV Monterrey (LCU-2030)
The Red Sea: USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) and USS Gravely (DDG-107) patrol the Red Sea as part of Operation Guardian of Prosperity, a multinational initiative led by the United Nations to enhance navigation in the Gulf of Aden.
