Major Ukrainian attack with dozens of drones on Russian areas

Several regions in Russia have been targeted overnight by attacks by Ukrainian drones, especially oil tanks, killing a woman, authorities said Thursday.

The drones hit the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the southern Krasnodar region, where a woman was killed, regional governor Vinyamin Kondratiev said.

“During the night a criminal attack by the Kiev regime targeted Svlayansk-on-Kuban… A house was completely destroyed… Unfortunately, a woman from the area was killed”.

The same source confirmed the interception and destruction of 15 drone in the Republic of Adygea and in the Bryansk, Krasnodar, Rostov, Belgorod and Arulov regions.

“Overnight we thwarted an attempt by the Kiev regime to launch terrorist attacks by drones against positions on Russian territory,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

With the exception of Krasnodar, the attacks mainly targeted oil tanks, local authorities said, and led to huge fires.

In the southern republic of Adygea, a fire broke out at an oil refinery in the town of Enem following a march attack, Governor Murat Kombilov wrote on Telegram, confirming that the fire was quickly brought under control.

In the central Tambov region, a tank at a large oil refinery in the town of Platonovka caught fire in the morning in a march attack probably, Governor Maxim Egorov wrote on Telegram.

Ukraine has been under Russian invasion for more than two years and regularly responds by attacking Russian targeted areas, especially energy facilities.

Kiev has promised to move the fighting to Russian territory in response to numerous bombardments of its areas.
