The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance announces the receipt of $1.34 billion as part of a World Bank project

Ukraine received financial support worth $1.34 billion under a World Bank program aimed at strengthening the Ukrainian administration’s ability to bear public expenditures.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, this financing consists of a $1.086 billion loan from the World Bank, along with financial grants including $190 million from Norway and $50 million from the United States, in addition to a $20 million grant from Switzerland.

These funds are allocated to offset non-security and defense-related expenditures in the Ukrainian budget, and include social aid for groups such as the elderly, as well as payments to state emergency service personnel.

This support comes in the context of efforts aimed at strengthening the financing capacity of the Ukrainian government and providing the necessary support to improve the economic and social conditions in the country.
