French Radio: Civil war and dangerous division in Macron’s circle over Gaza
Europe 1 radio station quoted an advisor at the Elysee Palace as saying that the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip had caused a serious division in the circle of French President Emmanuel Macron.
An advisor to the French president said, “The conflict between Israel and Hamas has led to a deep division in the presidential team, to the point that they no longer talk to each other”.
According to the French president advisor, the reason for this division is that some are not far from believing that Hamas is a resistance movement.
According to the radio station, a civil war is also taking place in the Elysee Palace, which is fueled by the mistrust of part of the circle surrounding the head of state towards Frederic Michel, Macron’s special advisor for communications and strategy.
Over the weekend, Frederic Michel himself indicated to the Monde newspaper that there was envy and confrontations between different groups in the French administration.
According to the radio station, Macron may want to reshuffle the team, including dismissing Elysee Palace Secretary General Alexis Kohler.
