In another incident, Damascus International Airport and Aleppo International Airport were subjected to an Israaeli attack.

This attack resulted in the death of a civilian worker at Damascus Airport, and another was injured.

This attack also caused the two airports to suffer severe material damage, causing them to be out of service.

According to Syrian military source reported by Syrian news agency SANA, the air attack was carried out early in the morning by the Israeli enemy.

Damascus and Aleppo airports were targeted by a barrage of missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea and from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan.

The attack resulted in the death of a civilian worker at Damascus Airport and the wounding of another worker, in addition to causing material damage to the two airports’ landing strips, which required them to be taken out of service.

Based on information from the Ministry of Transport, scheduled flights passing through Damascus and Aleppo airports (either arriving or departing) were directed to Latakia International Airport.

Travelers are requested to cooperate with airlines to adjust travel arrangements, as updates on changes to dates, destinations and cancellations will be published successively.

This is a third time, in less than 3 weeks, Israel targeting Damascus and Aleppo airports several times since the beginning of the war in Gaza

Israel carried out attacks on Damascus and Aleppo airports on October 12 of this month, which led to the disruption of service to the two airports.

According to Israeli media reports published on Sunday, the attacks that took place in Syria last night are among the most comprehensive attacks since the start of the war, and these attacks come as a result of growing concern about the direction of forces and weapons from Iran and Iraq towards Syria and Lebanon.

The Israeli Ynet website reported, “the attacks carried out tonight in Syria are considered the most comprehensive ever in the country since the beginning of the war”.

These attacks included a more advanced type of weapons and bombs than those launched at night on nearly 100 Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

Ynet noted that the Israeli army launched attacks on the runways at airports spread across various parts of Syria due to realistic fears of the arrival of forces and advanced weapons from Iran and Iraq to the regions of Lebanon and Syria.

In light of this context, the Syrian Ministry of Transport announced the transfer of scheduled flights between Damascus and Aleppo airports (arrivals and departures) to Latakia International Airport.
