Erdogan: The Putin I know… If he intends to do something he will
“If the Russian president intends something, he will do it” the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said describing Vladimir Putin and commenting on Russia’s plans following the results of referendums in the liberated lands, Speaking about the referendums held in the republics of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye, Erdogan expressed his concern over the annexation of these territories to Russia.
“This could happen because Mr. Putin, who I know if he thinks of something, will do it, and there are situations that testify about that,” Erdogan was quoted by the Turkish official Anadolu news agency as saying.
“For this reason, I attach great importance to our meeting tomorrow (with Putin, expected on Thursday)”, the Turkish president added.
I hope we leave this issue at the point it has reached and move on to diplomacy”.
