Suez Canal raises transit fees by up to 10% from March 1

The Suez Canal Authority said on Sunday it would impose additional duties on transiting ships of up to 10 percent from March 1.

The authority added in a series of circulars that the decision comes “in line with the remarkable growth in global trade, the improvement of the economies of ships, the development of the navigation course and the transit service of the Suez Canal”.
