Catalonia’s Parliament recognizes the SDF self-administration politically
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria welcomed the Catalan Parliament’s recognition of it as a political entity, considering the move a “qualitative development”.
A statement in this regard said: “The Catalan Parliament approved on October 20 of this month the recognition of the Autonomous Administration politically.
The recognition that was made by the Parliament of the Catalonia region of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is a qualitative development”.
The statement expressed a lot of thanks to the friends in the Catalonia region, and we affirm that we value their historical positions and renew our pledge in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to move forward towards more progress and development in order to achieve more quality in our democratic project.
It is noteworthy that the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, an area extending in the north and east of the country, has been established by an autonomous authority on one side.
The Syria Democratic Forces control the area, which includes the governorates of Hasakeh, Raqqa, Aleppo and Deir al Zour.
The area is inhabited by large numbers of Arab, Kurdish, Syriac and Assyrian residents with Small groups of Turkmen, Armenians, Chechens and Yazidis.
On Wednesday, the Catalan parliament recognized the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, with the approval of eighty votes out of 129.
