Russian President formally submits a bill to the Duma allowing Russia to withdrawn from the Open Sky Treaty after the withdrawal of the United States from the agreement
A source in the State Duma said today that Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the Russian Parliament a bill on Russia’s annulment of the Open Sky Treaty.
At the end of last April, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that a bill to withdraw Russia from the Open Sky Treaty would be submitted to President Putin soon.
It is noteworthy that Russia began the procedures of withdrawing from the treaty last January, after the United States withdrew from the treaty in November.
