China needs an annual growth of 4.6% to double the size of its economy in 2035
A Chinese official said that there is a need for his country’s average annual growth of 4.33% to achieve its goal of doubling the size of its economy in 2035.
Yang Weimin, deputy director of an economic committee under China’s top political advisory body, said Beijing has the potential to achieve this goal, Bloomberg News reported Saturday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has said in recent weeks that it is “entirely possible for China’s economy to double by 2035.
Late last month, top Chinese leaders discussed the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan 2025-2021, as well as the long-term development vision for 2035”.
