Wall Street Journal: US drones aren’t functioning well in Ukraine
The Wall Street Journal confirmed that US drones don’t work as well in Ukraine as other systems, and they cannot overcome Russian electronic jamming.
The Wall Street Journal quoted Adam Bray, CEO of the drone development company Skydio, “The general reputation of each class of US drones in Ukraine is that they don’t work there as well as other systems”.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Ukrainians discovered that US drones “are fragile and cannot overcome Russian electronic jamming and GPS inactivation techniques”.
The Wall Street Journal confirms that US drones are often unable to cover the declared distances.
Many experts believe that the reason for the shortcomings of US drones is partly due to the US government’s policies towards China.
The Wall Street Journal said, “The US Department of Defense has imposed strict requirements on drone manufacturers, including banning the use of Chinese components, which makes building small drones more expensive and difficult”.
At the end of winter, the United States, against the backdrop of the microchip war with China, reduced the export of equipment needed for its production there by 2.3 times, which is the minimum in several years.
