Trump announces postponement of strikes on Iran’s energy facilities after very good talks with Iran to stop the war
US President Donald Trump announced Monday that he had ordered a postponement of the strikes on Iran’s energy facilities he threatened after very good and productive talks with Tehran, adding that negotiations would continue this week.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that the United States and Iran “have had very good and productive talks over the past two days regarding a comprehensive and complete resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East”.
“Based on the content and tone of the talks, which will continue during the week, I directed the War Department to postpone all military strikes on Iran’s power plants and energy infrastructure for five days, provided that the ongoing meetings are successful”.
Trump added that based on the positive and constructive content of these talks, he instructed the US War Department to postpone all military strikes against Iran’s power plants and energy infrastructure for 5 days.
