Retired US intelligence officer, Scott Ritter, said that Washington is preparing to replace Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky with the commander-in-chief of Ukrainian forces, Valery Zaluzhny.

“The West has pushed Zelensky to second place, and is focusing on Zaluzhny as the future leader of Ukraine,” Ritter said.

He pointed out that the Western media monitors the promotion of Zaluzhny’s personality, adding: “The likes of General Zaluzhny will decide the future of Ukraine…When the conflict reaches the final stage, he will be the one who will sit around the negotiating table from Kyiv”.

This comes at a time when the head of the “We’re with Russia movement, Vladimir Rogov, confirmed that the Ukrainian President, Vladimir Zelensky, is using the Ukrainian intelligence service as a sole support force, to maintain his power and fight his political rivals.

Earlier, Rogov told Russian local TASS news agency that Zelensky would make many political enemies during his attempt to build a one-man power system in Ukraine, which would create large opposition forces for him, especially the alliance between businessmen Rinat Akhmetov and Valery Zaluzhny.

Likewise, the former officer in the CIA, Philip Giraldi, confirmed two days ago that the Ukrainian President Zelensky is trying to involve NATO in a direct conflict with Russia, explaining that Zelensky and his advisors are determined to escalate the situation, in order for Russia to take a reckless step, forcing NATO and the United States direct involvement in the conflict.
