On Saturday, Israeli forces confiscated agricultural lands in the village of Maaria in the western countryside of Dara’a, southern Syria, and looted livestock belonging to farmers in the area, in a new escalation of violations against Syrian civilians.

Israeli forces expanded the scope of their violations against the residents in the village, amid a state of collective terror that took control of the residents due to repeated incursions and indiscriminate shooting towards civilians, which hindered their movement and forced them to take shelter inside their homes.

one of the farmers in the area said that “the occupation started taking our sheep, and then confiscated the land successively,” adding that “the psychological situation of the people is very difficult, and we need urgent psychological intervention because of the daily terror of the confrontations with Israeli soldiers”.

The Syrian farmer pointed out that the forces open fire as soon as anyone leaves in broad daylight, preventing them from reaching their fields and sources of livelihood.

In a separate incident, local sources revealed that Israeli forces arrested last Thursday a 15-year-old boy in the vicinity of the village of Kodana in the southern countryside of Quneitra, and took him to an unknown destination, without providing any official explanations about the reasons for the detention or his whereabouts.

Israeli forces continue to violate the disengagement agreements signed with the Syrian side, by carrying out night and day incursions in various areas of southern Syria, amid repeated appeals from the residents to stop what they described as systematic violations that threaten their presence and fragile stability in the area.
