Iran deploys air defense systems and uses a new generation of locally produced weapons and equipment during joint maneuvers between the army and the Revolutionary Guard

The spokesperson for the air defense maneuvers “Defenders of State 99”, the joint specialist, Brigadier General Abbas Farajpour, announced the use of a new generation of weapons and equipment produced entirely locally, during the exercises.

Brigadier General Faraj Pour said, “The first stage of the maneuvers includes the deployment and stability of air defense systems, which include missile and radar systems, with an emphasis on the mobility and rapid response of operational forces, as well as commitment to the principles of passive defense to deceive the enemy, and at a later stage the creation of safe and multi-layered communication between air defense systems”.

And between the comprehensive network of air defense in the country to take decisions commensurate with the threats, according to the Iranian agency Fars.

He added, “In these joint exercises, army and Revolutionary Guards officers are practicing side by side at the SOC Joint Operations Command Center in what simulates a real battlefield and confronting air threats with operational direction and control by the air defense headquarters and direct supervision by the assessors and observers at Khatam al Anbia headquarters Central.

Brigadier General Faraj Pour pointed out, “The implementation of intelligence and reconnaissance flights by manned and unmanned aircraft belonging to the army and the Revolutionary Guards in the general area for maneuvers, adding that” other programs for this stage of operations are the implementation of the tactical and defensive initiative by means of detection and ground response systems against the attacking aircraft and an exercise.

The spokesman for the exercises stated that “the deployment of the Fakkor and Ashura tactical command and control systems, the domestically made radar systems”, Fatah-2 and Basheer, the intelligence and tactical reconnaissance systems, the optoelectronic systems, the electronic warfare systems, and the visual monitoring network of the Air Defense Force for the army, it is one of the other missions that are carried out at this stage of operations.

He considered the use of a new generation of completely homemade weapons and equipment, and crossing over from previous generations, among the salient characteristics of these joint exercises, adding that all detection, reconnaissance, interception and engagement systems used in these maneuvers by the Army and Revolutionary Guard units are completely homemade and produced by experts and committed youth in the armed forces and defense industries.
