Financial Times: Trump says… We bombed 13,000 targets in Iran and the remaining is 3,000!
US President Donald Trump said that the United States has bombed 13,000 targets in Iran, explaining that the US target bank also includes about 3,000 additional targets, as this came in an exclusive interview with the Financial Times newspaper.
“Talks with Iran through Pakistani envoys are going well and a deal can be done very quickly… We can capture Iran’s Kharg Island very easily,” Trump said.
Trump spoke of the bombing of 13,000 targets in Iran since the start of the war on February 28, adding that about 3,000 of the targets remain.
Speaking to reporters aboard the presidential Airforce one as it flew to Washington, on Sunday evening, Trump said Iran had agreed to allow 20 oil ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz starting Monday morning, as a gesture of respect.
“Huge oil tankers will cross the Strait of Hormuz tomorrow morning (Monday),” he said.
Regarding negotiations with Iran, Trump said, “I can say that we are making progress”.
He said he was absolutely certain that the United States would reach a deal with Iran, but that it’s possible that this won’t happen either.
On Tehran’s response to his 15-point ceasefire plan, Trump claimed that the Iranians agreed to most points.
He added that the United States was negotiating with Iran directly and indirectly, without elaborating.
On Sunday, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that the United States and Iran trust his country to prepare the ground for negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
This came in a statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, in which the minister expressed his welcome to host and pave the way for serious talks between the two parties in the coming days, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive and lasting solution to the existing conflict.
