Financial Times: Europeans are in dispute over supporting Israel or Ukraine!
A European official confirmed to the Financial Times that tensions had escalated in the European Union after directing support to Israel instead of Ukraine, indicating “the European Union’s adherence to Israel’s right to self-defense”.
The European official pointed out that tensions are increasing internally in Europe as a result of the dispute over supporting Israel instead of Ukraine.
In an interview with PBS, Zelensky accused his Western allies of losing the “Trypilska” thermal electric station, which was destroyed by a Russian air strike “as a result of not providing his forces with sufficient air defense systems,” he claimed, and compared Ukraine and Israel in relation to NATO.
He added, “I would like to ask a question after the Iranian attack on Israel… Is Israel part of NATO? This is the answer then… Israel isn’t a member of the alliance, but you’re helping it nonetheless”.
In the wake of the first Iranian attack of its kind on Israel, European reactions emerged that strongly condemned this attack and were accompanied by statements of standing by Israel in this confrontation.
The British government announced the sending of additional fighter aircraft to the Middle East, stressing that it would intercept if necessary any air attack.
France said, “We reiterate our commitment to Israel’s security and affirm our solidarity with Israel,” while Berlin stressed that it stands firmly by Israel.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Taiani wrote on X, “We’re following with interest and concern what is happening in the Middle East, and the government is ready to deal with any type of scenario”.
The US President Joe Biden recently discussed with the leaders of the Democratic and Republican parties a draft law that includes additional aid to Israel and Ukraine.
