Axios reveal information of the two Israeli embassy employees who killed in Washington DC
A report published by Axios revealed information about the two Israeli embassy employees who were killed in a shooting in Washington, DC, on Thursday.
The report began with Yaron Lishinsky, 30, noting that he was a conscript in the Israeli army and had worked as a research assistant at the embassy since September 2022.
According to Axios website, Leshinsky holds both Israeli and German citizenship, as confirmed by the German embassy to Axios.
He lived in Germany, where he was raised in a Christian-Jewish family, before moving to Israel when he was 16 years old.
Lishinsky earned a bachelor’s degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he studied international relations and Asian affairs, and a master’s degree in governance, diplomacy, and strategy from Reichman University in Israel, according to Axios.
The report added that Lishinsky worked as an officer in the Population and Immigration Authority in Jerusalem and had dreams of becoming a diplomat, which led him to work at the Israeli embassy.
Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor said of Leszczynski, “He was a Christian and a true lover of Israel… He served in the Israeli army and dedicated his life to the State of Israel and the Zionist cause”.
Axios stated that Milgrim earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Kansas, in addition to two master’s degrees from the United Nations University for Peace and the American University.
Prior to her time at the embassy, Milgrim worked at the Take to Peace Foundation in Tel Aviv, where she focused on the role of friendships in the peacebuilding process between Israelis and Palestinians.
Sarah’s father, Robert Milgrim, explained that his daughter was scheduled to travel to Israel next Sunday to meet the Leshinsky family ahead of their expected engagement, according to a New York Times report.
