Axios: Details of the US president’s plan to strike Iranian nuclear facilities
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening, during which they discussed developments in the current war against Iran.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the call came after a meeting held by Trump with senior administration officials to discuss the course of the war, and after Netanyahu concluded limited security consultations at a secret bunker.
This comes amid expectations that the United States will soon join the Israeli aggression against Iran.
For its part, Axios reported that US President Donald Trump is considering launching US strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities.
US officials say that Trump is seriously considering entering the war and launching a US strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, particularly the underground Uranium enrichment facility at Ford.
According to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, Kan 11, Israel received an official message from the US administration stating that Iran wants to halt Israeli military attacks, as a prelude to a return to negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear project.
In Israel, there is widespread speculation that the United States will soon join the war.
A senior Israeli official was quoted as saying that US President Donald Trump will want to be remembered as someone who was part of bringing down the regime, not as someone who remained on the sidelines of the most important security event of the 21st century.
Despite indications of disagreements within the US administration regarding the response to the Iranian offer, Israeli sources confirm that President Trump is very satisfied with the Israeli military’s successes in Iran and that he doesn’t want Israel to cease its operations at this stage.
In contrast, Israeli political and security sources confirm that there is complete consensus within Israel, from the Prime Minister to the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff, and senior military commanders, that the attacks must not cease at this stage.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on Monday that any ceasefire at this stage will be exploited by Iran to accelerate its nuclear program.
