Local sources reported from Syria, that there is a state of popular tension in the areas controlled by the militants of Hay’at Tahrir al Sham in northern Syria.

This is due to internal unrest among the leaders of the armed factions, which has led them to carry out arbitrary arrests and summary executions against many civilians.

The sources said that the security patrols of these armed organizations arrested about 20 people during the past week, four of them on charges of working and spying for the Syria Democratic Forces, and the rest on charges of spying for Turkish army officers and intelligence.

This confusion, which has been going on for several weeks, is due to internal differences between the leaders of the armed factions as a result of the loss of coordination with the Turkish army forces present in the area, in light of talk of a possible Syrian-Turkish rapprochement in the near future.

The sources indicated that the armed factions in northern Syria are in a state of confusion due to the lack of clarity of the current political scene.

At the same time, some leaders of these organizations are considering leaving the region and heading to the countries of the Caucasus, especially Azerbaijan.
