Russia says oil pipeline damaged by Ukrainian attack
A Ukrainian drone attack damaged an oil pipeline near the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk, Russian authorities said on Sunday.
Russian air defenses shot down 19 drones in the Leningrad region, one of which damaged part of the oil pipeline near the port of Primorsk.
The residual oil in the pipeline is currently being burned safely, the region’s governor, Alexander Drogdenko, said on Telegram, confirming that there were no casualties.
Ukraine has intensified its attacks on Russian infrastructure in recent months.
Primorsk, between the Finnish border and the city of St. Petersburg, was attacked in March when an oil depot was set on fire.
