The Islamic Resistance Front in Syria threatens Israel with further attacks and sends messages to the Syrian government and public

The so called Islamic Resistance Front in Syria, which recently claimed responsibility for launching rockets toward Israel, released a video showing its general command spokesman, Abu Qassem, delivering a series of sharp messages to various parties, primarily Israel, the Syrian government, and the Syrian public.

In his speech, Abu Qassem called on the Arab and Islamic masses, and the Syrian people in all their components, to stand against what he described as “repeated Zionist aggression” on Syrian territory, accusing Israel of carrying out continuous raids and systematic violations in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen.

He considered that the recent response from within Syria wasn’t a random or emotional act, but rather came as a result of “meticulous monitoring and planning,” confirming—in his words—that “Syrian territory isn’t permissible, and Syrian blood isn’t cheap”.

Abu Qassem explained that the missile launches came as part of a new equation aimed at redrawing the rules of engagement, adding that the Israeli response, which targeted areas in southern Syria, wasn’t a surprise, but rather was expected as part of what he called a test of the weaknesses and strengths of the enemy’s military system.

He emphasized that the Zionist response won’t lead to a retreat, but will rather be a catalyst for a calculated escalation in the future.

“We’re not advocates of war… but we don’t fear it”.

He continued, saying, “We’re not seeking an all-out war, but we are fully prepared for it… What happened wasn’t the end of the battle, but its beginning”.

He pointed out that what he described as a “major confrontation” was looming on the horizon, considering the latest attack to represent the first stages of escalation.

Abu Qassem specifically addressed the Syrian people with a message in which he called on them not to forget “their cause, their identity, and their resistance,” recalling the historical memory of the resistance to the Ottoman and French occupations, and asserting that Syria had never been a land to be violated.

He said that the Front isn’t asking the people to fight, but rather to “stand in support and assistance”.

The second message was directed at the Syrian government, which he described in his message as a “de facto government” accusing it of abandoning the principles of the revolution and engaging in “traitorous normalization” projects with Israel in exchange for narrow political gains, calling on it to return to the “roots of religion and faith”.

In his third message, addressed to Israel, Abu Qassem used a harsh tone, saying, “You’ve yet to face the true Syrian might, and whoever dares to venture onto Syrian soil won’t find a grave for themselves unless they make one with their own hands”.

He considered that “the great battle begins in Syria and will expand as long as the attacks don’t stop,” concluding his remarks with the phrase, “This is God’s promise… and His promise is true”.

These statements come after two rockets were fired from inside Syrian territory towards the occupied Golan Heights.

The operation was claimed by the Martyr Muhammad al Deif Brigades and the Islamic Resistance Front in Syria.

Israel responded by launching airstrikes on sites in Syria, holding the government of transitional President Ahmed al Sharaa responsible for what happened.

Damascus, meanwhile, denied the veracity of some reports related to those strikes.
