The al Qassam brigades posted a new video: Time is running out for hostages release in Gaza
The al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, broadcast a video on Saturday evening of an Israeli hostage in the Gaza Strip, in which the prisoner stressed that no one can force them out of the Strip.
The Israeli hostage, who identified himself as number 22, warned that the Israeli military’s bombing could kill hostages in Gaza, appealing to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to work to secure his release.
In response to Netanyahu’s claims that the Qassam Brigades’ videos of Israeli prisoners were part of psychological warfare, the prisoner cried out, “Prime Minister, I was the one who requested this video be recorded… Hamas didn’t ask me to do so… This isn’t psychological warfare”.
He added, “The real psychological war for me is waking up without seeing my son and wife, and that doesn’t make me healthy”.
He continued, appealing to Netanyahu: “I want to get out of here… Please help me… I miss my wife, my son, and everyone”.
The prisoner continued, “I worked for 15 years under the framework of the workers’ union, and I never asked them for anything”.
He continued, “Hey, union, you are defending your senior employees. Don’t you know how to defend me?”
He added, “Get me out of here… You made a deal, you got the female soldiers out, the elderly, everyone else out, so why is my wife alone? Why my son?”
He asked indignantly, “Where are my rights? Where is the Histadrut (the workers’ union)? I have worked for 15 years under the Brotherhood, where are my rights? Don’t I deserve anything? I asked for nothing”.
He continued, “I only ask for one thing: Get me out of here alive… I don’t want anything else”.
He warned that the Israeli bombing of Gaza could lead to the killing of prisoners.
He said, “We’re under bombardment 24 hours a day, every day there are explosions”.
Rejecting his government’s claims about forcing the prisoners out of Gaza, he concluded his appeal by saying, “They tell us they tried to force us out… Who can force us out? No one can force us out… You don’t understand… This will kill us… This is our end… I fear I will die here at any moment”.
It’s worth mentioning that the Israeli authorities estimates that there are 59 Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip, 24 of whom are still alive.
Meanwhile, more than 9,500 Palestinians are languishing in its prisons, suffering torture, starvation, and medical neglect, many of whom have died, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights and media reports.
