Bild: Friedrich Merz faces a difficult task inside and outside Germany
The German Bild newspaper, called on everyone in Germany to start working immediately because developments are happening.
The German newspaper said, “Since it’s clear that things are going in a crazy direction in the world now, the European Union shouldn’t celebrate for long, but rather start working as quickly as possible”.
According to Bild, forming a stable government is the urgent necessity in Germany at the present time, far from the resonant slogans whose importance will diminish to the point of fading in the face of the facts that impose themselves on the ground.
“Why’re young people in Germany leaning towards the far right?” Bild asked.
The German newspaper stressed that the will of the voters, even if we don’t like it, must not be circumvented.
About 50% of voters voted for political forces ranging from conservative liberalism to extreme right-wing, with the Christian Democratic Party, the Christian Social Union, and the Alternative for Germany party leading the way.
Bild pointed out that this combination of elected political forces is very likely to result in a change in the country’s policies; immigration policies and economic policies in particular.
Bild warned that failure to change policies to match all the political forces that won the most votes could increase the strength of the Alternative for Germany party, which is expected to become the strongest party in Germany, similar to the Freedom Party in Austria.
