The UAE thanks the Turkish Authorities for cooperation with arresting the killers of the Israeli rabbi

The United Arab Emirates announced, Tuesday, that it’s cooperating with a country to arrest the perpetrators of the murder of Israeli Rabbi Zvi Kogan, who was killed on its territory.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the family of Kogan, who held Moldovan citizenship in addition to Israeli citizenship, according to his official documents as a resident in the country.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed its deep gratitude to the Turkish authorities for their cooperation in arresting the perpetrators, according to the Emirates News Agency.

It praised the efforts of the competent Emirati authorities in dealing with the case, as they demonstrated high professionalism in managing the investigations.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to obtain information from official sources, warning against being drawn into rumors or misleading news.

In its statement, the ministry affirmed the UAE’s commitment to the approach of tolerance and the values ​​of peaceful coexistence among diverse religions and cultures, while ensuring the security of society and providing the highest levels of safety for all its residents.

In the same context, the Emirati authorities revealed, Monday, new photos and information about the accused in the murder of Rabbi Kogan.

The UAE Ministry of Interior reported that the three arrested perpetrators, who hold Uzbek nationality, are currently under investigation, in preparation for referring them to the Public Prosecution.

The ministry explained that the names of the accused are: Olimpi Tohirovic (28), Mahmoud John Abdul Rahim (28), and Azizi Kamilovich (33).

The UAE Ministry of Interior announced last Sunday the arrest of the three people accused of killing Kogan, whose body was found after he disappeared last Thursday.

Later, Israeli authorities announced that Rabbi Kogan’s body had been found, noting that he had been missing since November 21.

The Israeli government considered his killing an anti-Semitic terrorist act, and confirmed its determination to pursue those responsible for the crime.

For its part, Iran denied any connection to the incident, while Israeli reports indicate that the Uzbek cell that carried out the kidnapping may have been supported by Iran, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.

Zvi Kogan was a representative of the Chabad Jewish movement in the Emirates, a religious movement known for its presence in many countries.
