Two French companies are leaving Jordan and liquidating their investments in the country
A private deal has been officially announced in Jordan, the details of which aren’t yet clear, which ended in the sale of all its works and facilities in Jordan to a new investment consortium consisting of several African companies.
As part of the sale, the French Total company will leave Jordan, as the company is one of the largest French investment brands in Jordan.
The announcement of the deal coincided with arrangements for the French to sell their huge stake in Jordanian cement factories under new and complex investment understandings regarding the French company Lafarge’s stake.
There was no government comment on the reasons for the change, which has affected large French investments in the Jordanian arena.
