Turkish intelligence arrested a relative of “Gulen organization” leader
The Turkish intelligence service arrested Salah al Din Gulen, a relative of the cleric residing in the United States, Fethullah Gulen, and took him to Turkey.
The Turkish Anadolu news agency quoted security sources as saying that Salah al Din Gulen “had fled abroad earlier with the help of ISIS followers”.
The Turkish authorities had issued an arrest warrant for Gulen on charges of belonging to an armed terrorist organization.
The sources did not say when and where Saladin Gülen was arrested.
The Turkish government accuses Fethullah Gulen of being behind the failed coup attempt in the country in 2016.
Ankara also says that Gulen is leading an organization to infiltrate the state and army apparatus to turn against the government.
Ankara classifies the Gulen movement as a terrorist organization.
Gulen, a former ally of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, denies the accusations.
