US Presidential Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack will draw red lines regarding Israeli activity in Syria during his upcoming meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, Israeli reports have revealed.

Sources explained to the Israeli channel i24 News that the United States expresses its concern that the escalation of Israeli operations will lead to the destabilization of the regime in Syria, at a time when it is also working to crystallize understandings or a security agreement.

Barak is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Monday to hold meetings with Netanyahu and a number of Israeli officials to discuss a range of regional issues, with the Syrian arena giving priority.

In a post published earlier this month on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump stressed the importance of maintaining a strong and genuine dialogue between Israel and Syria, warning against any measures that may impede Syria’s transformation into a prosperous state.

Trump praised the efforts of Syrian transitional President Ahmed al Sharaa, to build a long-term and fruitful relationship between the two countries.

Tom Barrack’s visit to Israel comes at a time when Israeli forces continue to carry out near-daily incursions into southern Syrian territory.

From his part, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced this month that the gap between Israel and Syria has widened, regarding the security agreement, as the Syrians have new demands.

Israeli media quoted Sa’ar as saying about contacts with Syria regarding the security agreement: “At the moment, the gap between us and Syria has widened, and they have new demands… Of course, we want a deal, but we are far from an agreement than we were a few weeks ago”.
