The Kremlin hopes to meet the Russian president and his US counterpart before the end of the year

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on Sunday, that the Kremlin hopes to hold a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Joe Biden before the end of the year, explaining that the meeting is likely to be held via video conference.
“The date is still unknown”, Peskov told reporters when asked about this.
“We hope that communication between the two leaders will take place before the end of the year, but there is no specific date yet”.
Peskov indicated that the meeting between the two leaders will likely take place via video conference.
Presidents Putin and Biden met last June in Geneva in an attempt to ease tensions between Russia and the United States.
The relations between Russia and the United States are tense due to many issues, including accusations of Moscow mobilizing its forces on the border to invade Ukraine, but Moscow denied this.
