The Daily Mail: Epstein’s death… New secrets revealed… Suspicious death date and broken cameras!
New documents recently released by the US Department of Justice have revealed a controversial detail in the case of Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire accused of sex trafficking minors.
One official statement carried a date a full day before Epstein’s official date of death, raising a wave of questions and doubts about the mysterious circumstances of his death.
The Daily Mail published a report in which it referred to an official document issued by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, dated August 9, 2019.
The document included an official announcement of Epstein’s death, although official accounts indicate that he was found unconscious in his cell the next morning, August 10, 2019.
The text of the statement, signed by the US Attorney General in Manhattan at the time, Jeffrey S. Berman: “Earlier this morning, the Manhattan Correctional Center confirmed that Jeffrey Epstein, who was facing charges brought by this office for sex trafficking of minors, had been found unresponsive in his cell, and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter”.
According to official reports from prison authorities, Epstein was discovered in an unstable state on the morning of August 10 during a breakfast distribution, where guards found him hanged.
Investigations indicate that the incident occurred after 6:30 am (US eastern time), and an officer tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate him before he was pronounced dead.
The coroner later determined that the cause of death was hanging.
Suspicious security vulnerabilities on the night of Epstein’s
death Newly released documents reveal a series of security failures that surrounded the night of Epstein’s death:
Ignore the Mandatory Rounds: Prison records show that the guards in charge of monitoring Epstein didn’t conduct the mandatory inspection rounds during the night.
Two scheduled rounds were missed: one at 3 am and the other at 5 am (US eastern time).
Failure of surveillance systems: At least two surveillance cameras installed outside Epstein’s cell malfunctioned, resulting in critical gaps in the visual recordings of the area.
The glitch prevented investigators from pinpointing an exact chronology of Epstein’s last movements before his death.
Mystery Person in the Footage: Investigators from the FBI and the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General have identified footage showing an unknown person heading toward the floor where Epstein’s cell is located during the night hours.
The footage showed an orange-clad figure climbing the stairs near the detention unit, but investigators have not conclusively determined the person’s connection to the incident.
The details were released in new files released by the US Department of Justice this week, including coroner reviews of observations related to surveillance inside the facility.
The discrepancy between the document’s date and the official version has raised further doubts about the accuracy of the initial investigations into the case.
The circumstances of Jeffrey Epstein’s death remain a mystery of widespread interest, especially as new documents continue to unravel questions about what actually happened that night inside a Manhattan jail.
