Journalist Yilmaz Özdil Spoke in a surprise remarks broadcast on the Turkish SÖZCÜ opposition TV channel, and analyzed what he called the “Operation Naples”, an international plan in which Israel plays a pivotal role.

Özdil said during his discussion of the Syrian issue on the “Red and White” talk show on the TV channel, that a secret deal has been concluded between Israel and Türkiye regarding the overthrow of the Assad regime, adding, “It’s clear that there is a political, military and commercial agreement with Israel at that point”.

Özdil argued that the events in Syria weren’t a coincidence, noting that it’s a new phase of the long-planned NATO operation.

He stated that what he called the “Operation Naples” had now moved beyond direct combat and had entered the phase of construction and fortification.

He explained that the biggest winner in this period, which he described as the “fortification phase of the Operation Naples”, is Türkiye.

Unlike many, Ankara is certain that there is a significant threat to Türkiye, specifically from Syria, adding: “From now on, and perhaps over the next 50 years, Türkiye will have to focus all its attention on Syria, because the threat coming from there will never end… The focus will never be distracted from that side”.

He stated in the context that while everyone was preoccupied with the process of opening up and Abdullah Öcalan’s statements, Erdogan was focusing on Syria with the head of the National Intelligence Service (MIT) İbrahim Kalın and Hakan Fidan, adding, “I think Erdogan felt the PKK’s already exhausted situation, and that there is an internal conflict within the party.

“Instead of sitting down and talking to them as the MHP did to destroy the SDF, it has in fact sought to legitimize Syrian President Ahmed al Sharaa in the White House and the Pentagon”.

He pointed out that the region has turned into a huge economic project, talking about a reconstruction process for Syria worth about $1 trillion, indicating that airports, ports, oil pipelines and investments in infrastructure will be implemented successively.

Özdil likened Syria to a shopping mall divided into several stores: “This is what the picture looks like when you watch the match from the VIP booth”.

According to Özdil, although there have been occasional minor clashes on the ground, the general framework has become clear.

According to the Turkish journalist, everything that is being raised about the military tensions between Turkish President Recep Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is nothing but a cover to camouflage what is happening in the black rooms.

“They manipulated us too… They claimed that Israel and Türkiye would clash in Syria… This is all nonsense”.

The possibility of conflict between Israel and Türkiye is negligible, it’s completely non-existent.

The journalist also made an unprecedented statement, stating that trade relations between Türkiye and Israel continue as usual and that the conflict between Ankara and Tel Aviv is completely over.

In this regard, Özdil noted that Israeli business activity through Türkiye will continue as its with tremendous strength.
