During the World Defense Exhibition: Saudi Arabia signs memorandums of understanding in the field of defense with several countries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed 3 memorandums of understanding and agreement in the field of defense on the sidelines of the World Defense Exhibition held in the capital Riyadh.

The Saudi General Authority for Military Industries is organizing the exhibition, which runs until February 12, in Riyadh.

On Sunday, the Saudi Minister of Defense signed a memorandum of understanding with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic Robert Kalinak between the two countries’ defense ministries, for cooperation in the field of defense.

Saudi Arabia also signed an agreement with Malaysia, on cooperation between the governments of the two countries in the field of defense.

Also, the Saudi Minister of Defense, prince Khalid bin Salman, signed a memorandum of understanding with his Somali counterpart Ahmed Maalim Faki for cooperation between the two countries’ defense ministries in the military field.

He and his South Korean counterpart Ahn Gyu-bak witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Defense Development Authority and the Defense Development Agency of Korea, in the field of defense research and development and innovation for defense and military technologies and systems.

The Saudi Minister of Defense toured the facilities and halls of the exhibition, which witnessed the participation of more than 1486 entities from 89 countries, in addition to many government agencies and major national and international companies, according to SPA.

Prince Khalid bin Salman, wrote on X, saying that he exchanged talks with defense ministers and senior officials from the countries participating in the exhibition on a number of topics related to the future of the defense and security industry.

He added: “We praised the opportunities available at the exhibition, as it signed and witnessed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding and agreements”.
