Argentina is ready to send troops to Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force
Argentine President Javier Milei has expressed his country’s readiness to send troops to the Gaza Strip as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF).
This came in press statements on Thursday, following his participation in the opening meeting of the Peace Council on Gaza, which was hosted in the US capital, Washington.
“Lasting peace can only be achieved through a system based on basic human rights,” Milei said, noting that the Peace Council in Gaza provides a framework to achieve this goal.
His country’s experience in peacekeeping operations was a strong reference, and they were able to harness that potential to serve any potential stabilizing force.
Milei announced Argentina’s readiness to send troops to Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force.
He also expressed the readiness of the “White Helmets” teams, which are active in the field of humanitarian aid under the umbrella of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and are also ready to support the ongoing efforts in Gaza in this field.
Earlier on Thursday, Trump announced that he had raised more than $7 billion in financial contributions from several countries as a rescue package for the Gaza Strip, during a speech at the first inaugural meeting of the Peace Council, following a two-year war that ended with a ceasefire agreement that came into effect last October, despite the fact that Israel still conducting sticks that keeps killing Palestinians in Gaza.
