The US administration will soon announce the formation of the International Stabilization force in Gaza
The administration of US President Donald Trump plans to announce next week the composition of the International Stabilization Force in the Gaza Strip.
On Friday evening, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation reported, citing an unnamed source familiar with the issue, that the Trump administration will reveal the establishment of the international force in Gaza, in addition to announcing the list of countries that have agreed to send troops to participate in it.
According to sources, Italy, Kosovo, Albania and Kazakhstan will all participate in the Stabilization Force, which will be led by a US Army brigade named Jasper Jeffers.
The past weeks have witnessed the preparation of a training plan for the international force, which is expected to be implemented in Jordan, according to an unnamed foreign source with knowledge, without official confirmation from the US or Jordanian authorities so far.
On January 16, Washington announced, in a statement issued by the White House, the adoption of the structures for managing the transitional phase in Gaza: The Peace Council, the Gaza Executive Council, the National Committee for the Management of Gaza, and the International Stabilization Force.
Major General Jasper Jeffers will head the International Stabilization Force (ISF), where he will lead security operations, support comprehensive disarmament, and oversee the delivery of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials.
The move is part of the second phase of Trump’s 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, which is supported by UN Security Council Resolution 2803 of November 17, 2025.
The second phase includes the reopening of the Rafah crossing, the disarmament of Hamas and the rest of the Palestinian factions, the implementation of an additional withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip, and the start of reconstruction efforts.
