The Times: Ukraine needs maximum support from the West in light of expectations of a massive Russian attack

The Times newspaper commented in an editorial on the course of the war in Ukraine on Saturday, as “The war in Ukraine is currently going through a critical stage, as a major Russian attack is expected in the coming weeks”.
The Times added, “The Ukrainian military leadership is making efforts to obtain enough weapons and air defense systems, so that it can withstand the Russian tactics, which have increased determination and discipline at the present time”.
The Times sees that Ukraine managed, until recently, to recover important cities and parts of the country through surprise, deception, flexible tactics, and superior morale, but it also saw that talk in the West that Ukraine was close to achieving victory is premature.
The Times said that the West must now provide Ukraine with the maximum amount of political, military and economic support, noting that the Ukrainians don’t need lessons about willingness to offer compromise solutions and conduct negotiations, pointing out that they must first make sure of their ability to repel the next Russian attack.
The Times newspaper concluded its comment by saying, “The Ukrainians need generators, equipment to repair electricity networks, and missiles”.
