The Israeli army monitored the firing of rockets from Yemen towards the south of the country for the first time since the beginning of the US-Israeli war on Iran, which entered its 29th day, on Saturday morning.

The official Israeli broadcaster said that the army monitored the firing of rockets from Yemen towards southern Israel for the first time since the beginning of this war.

Sirens were sounded in the cities of Dimona, Beersheba and Eilat after monitoring rocket fire from Yemen, it said.

The Israeli army intercepted a missile launched from Yemen towards areas in the south of the country.

There was no immediate comment from Yemen’s Ansar Allah on what Israeli media reported, however, this comes hours after the Yemeni group threatened, on Friday evening, direct military intervention, in the event that any other alliances with the United States and Israel join against Iran or use the Red Sea to carry out operations against the latter.

The Yemeni military spokesman of the group’s forces, Yahya Saree, said in a video statement: “Our hands on the trigger for direct military intervention, in the event of any other alliances with America and Israel joining against Iran and the axis of jihad and resistance, or using the Red Sea to carry out hostile operations by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran, and against any Muslim country”.

The statement also linked the group’s military intervention to the continuation of the escalation against Iran and the axis of jihad and resistance, and to what is required by the theater of military operations.

He warned against any unjust measures aimed at tightening the siege on the Yemeni people.
