The head of Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, has warned of any possible US escalation against Iran, stressing that its consequences will be serious.

“If the United States commits some folly based on the wrong calculations of its delusional president, I hope that its soldiers in the region have said goodbye to their families,” Azizi said in a post on X.

The post was accompanied by a photo of US soldiers looking at coffins belonging to the bodies of US soldiers killed in previous wars.

Meanwhile, during a meeting to follow up on the progress of trials in the cases of those accused in the recent unrest, the head of Iran’s judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, stressed that the people expect and demand that the defendants, the main elements of the riots and the perpetrators of terrorist acts be tried as soon as possible, and punished if the charges are proven.

The head of Iran’s judiciary stressed that holding those involved accountable isn’t limited to legal penalties, but also includes obliging all those who had a role in the riots, whether they were the order, the cause, the instigator or the perpetrator, to compensate for the damage caused to public and private property.
