Haaretz: Netanyahu orders the Israeli army to demolish Gaza City completely!

The Israeli Haaretz newspaper reported on Friday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed the occupation army to destroy Gaza City “to its very roots,” considering his repeated promises to eliminate Hamas “empty”.
In its editorial, titled “Israel’s Real Estate Loot Includes Wiping Gaza Off the Face of the Earth,” Haaretz noted that hundreds of Israeli soldiers were killed, along with tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, in what it described as plans to convert Gaza land into housing projects for Israeli police officers.
Haaretz added that this vision is in line with proposals by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who has called for the demolition of the Strip, and a broader plan unveiled by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, which calls for turning Gaza into a “real estate bonanza”.
From his part, Smotrich noted that the latter spoke of ongoing negotiations on this matter with the administration of US President Donald Trump.
The Israeli newspaper noted that Netanyahu hasn’t yet expressed any objection to Smotrich’s statements, arguing that there is a gap between the government’s official rhetoric about “destroying Hamas” and “recovering the hostages,” and what it described as the colonial economic ambitions being discussed behind the scenes.
Haaretz emphasized that the Gaza Strip is a Palestinian territory inhabited by more than two million people, most of whom are 1948 refugees and their descendants, warning that any plan to occupy and cleanse the Strip represents an international crime that has no place in the modern world.
