Gunmen infiltrate into an US base in Hasakeh countryside

Two unknown persons infiltrated the US base in the city of al Shaddadi in the countryside of al Hasakeh, and clashed with members of the “Syria Democratic Forces – SDF” militia supported by the US forces.

Local sources said that two unknown persons had infiltrated the US base in al Shaddadi, adding that their matter was discovered and clashes took place with members of the SDF militia responsible for guarding the base, which led to their killing.

The US forces used to constantly employ members of SDF to guard their bases due to fear of any targeting of these bases.

The US base at al Shaddadi is located between the governorates of al Hasakeh and Deir al Zour, is considered one of the most important US bases east of the Syrian Euphrates and includes a helipad and a training camp.

The recent period has witnessed an increase in the frequency of targeting the US forces and the SDF, which caused some deaths and injured a few.
