BRICS added 13 partner countries with more than 30 countries express interest in joining

The BRICS group announced its approval of the accession of 10 new partner countries, in the final statement of the group’s summit held in Kazan.

In addition, three more countries are awaiting approval to join in the near future.

According to Yuri Ushakov, the Russian presidential aide, the BRICS agreed on a set of important criteria that partner countries must meet, paving the way for further expansion in the future.

He also indicated that a list of 13 countries has been agreed upon, but hasn’t yet been officially announced.

On the other hand, Türkiye will be the first NATO country to join the BRICS group.

In addition to Türkiye, the list includes countries such as, Algeria, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.

On this regard, there are more than 30 countries around the world have expressed their desire to join the BRICS, reflecting the growing interest in the group on the international scene.
