Yedioth Ahronoth: The Israeli army heading to reduce the size of its reserve forces
The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, said on Monday that the Israeli army is reducing the size of its reserve forces, and that thousands of them have been demobilized without official notice.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority said, Sunday, that the government is considering reducing the number of army reserve members who were called up for the war on the Gaza Strip, due to the high economic cost.
At the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, the occupation announced the call-up of 360,000 soldiers from the reserve army.
On the other hand, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said, “The government gave the green light to the prisoner exchange deal and is awaiting a response from the Hamas movement”.
