Wall Street Journal: Israel failed to eradicate Hamas from the northern Gaza Strip
The Wall Street Journal confirmed that Israel failed to achieve the goals of its war on the Gaza Strip, despite its continuation for about 7 months.

The Wall Street Journal noted that the northern Gaza Strip represented the first battleground in the war, noting that thousands of Palestinian fighters are still present there, in addition to 300,000 people still living there, according to what it quoted an Israeli official.
For his part, the former deputy commander of the Israeli army who supervised operations in Gaza.
The Wall Street Journal explained that even as the focus of fighting gradually shifted to the south of the Strip, northern Gaza remained a stubborn flashpoint in the war.
The Wall Street Journal admitted that Hamas fighters “regrouped into smaller units and turned to guerrilla tactics”.
