US Coalition aviation begins activating weapon systems on Russian aircraft in Syria
The deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation between the warring parties in Syria confirmed that the coalition aircraft, Oleg Gorinov, began activating weapon guidance systems frequently on Russian planes, in eastern Syria.
Gorinov said, in a press statement, “One of the examples of these violations is the increasing cases of activating the weapon guidance systems of the coalition aircraft on the Russian Air Force, which were recorded by Russian pilots during planned flights in the regions of eastern Syria.
He explained that the United States continues, intentionally and systematically, to commit serious violations of the deconfliction protocols and the memorandum of flight safety in Syria, despite the Russian side’s commitment to the terms of the memorandum of understanding between the Russian Ministry of Defense and the US Department of Defense signed on October 20, 2015.
