UN Comtrade: Who are the most importers of Russian fertilizers?

International data showed that Russia leads in the field of fertilizers on the world stage.

Russian fertilizer exports amounted to $6.6 billion, reaching 57 different countries during the first half of this year.

Based on information published by the UN Comtrade platform, which contains data on the trade of countries around the world, Russia has exported fertilizers worth $6.6 billion to 57 different countries during the first half of this year, including the United States and China.

Among the main markets that are famous for importing Russian fertilizers, Brazil came in the list with a value of $1.9 billion, followed by India with a value of $1.3 billion.

However, the traditional customers for Russian fertilizers in Africa and Asia weren’t included in the data.

The United States, purchased Russian fertilizers worth $890 million, while China bought $632 million, and Mexico bought about $429 million.

Among the ten largest buyers of Russian fertilizers, Türkiye came with a value of $170 million and Germany with a value of $151 million.

Serbia, France, and Kazakhstan also each imported more than $100 million worth of Russian fertilizer.

On the other hand, the Russian Customs Service announced that Russia’s fertilizer exports last year 2022 amounted to about $19.3 billion, representing a 1.5-fold increase compared to 2021.
