Turkish media: Türkiye intends to resume tourist trips to Syria

Turkish media reported that it’s scheduled to resume operating tourist trips to Syria from Türkiye starting April 2024.

A representative of the Turkish “Vest Travel” tourism company, said that the cost of the trip will reach about two thousand dollars, but the routes in which the flights will be operated may change according to security data.

According to Vest Travel Tourism Company, it had been organizing trips to Syria for years, but since the outbreak of the war in 2011, it had to suspend the trips.

Meanwhile the company is about to resume trips again, and the work is under way with local agencies, as other countries have started operating trips to Syria.

The possibility of changing the flight paths according to the security data, under consideration as the latest developments in Syria are being closely monitored.

Since the conflict and the war in Syria broke out in 2011, Türkiye, which before the war had a very close relations with Damascus.

Speculations are still around regarding a possible meeting between the Turkish presidents Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Syrian president Bashar al Assad, Which many rely on to put an end to the Syrian crisis.

As many observers realize that the understanding of the two countries to solve the outstanding issues between them will open the way for the return of normal relations between the two countries, which would bring about a significant improvement in the economic situation in the two countries, in addition to resolving the problem of Syrian refugees in Turkey, and the return of peace and security on the borders between the two countries.
