The US Treasury issued a warning for Türkiye and the UAE regarding dealing with Russia

The US Deputy Treasury Secretary Brian Nelson will go to Türkiye, the UAE and other Middle Eastern countries to warn them of losing the US market if they continue to cooperate with Russia.
The US Treasury said, “A senior official for sanctions in the US Treasury Department will travel to Türkiye and the Middle East next week to warn countries and companies that they may lose access to the US market if they deal with prohibited companies and entities”.
It’s noteworthy that Nelson’s tour is part of Washington’s efforts to prevent Russia from circumventing Western sanctions, and will take place from January 29 to February 3, 2023.
During which he will visit Türkiye, the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, and is scheduled to hold talks in Ankara and Istanbul on February 2-3.
In addition to the issue of Russian sanctions, Nelson plans to discuss Iran’s actions in the region, illicit financial threats that undermine economic growth and foreign investment.
